The Boyd Log Home Gallery:

The Boyd’s came to us in 2012 to design and build their home on a new piece of property in Spring City, TN. They liked their existing log home, which featured approximately the same amount of square footage, but with a Gambrel Roof system. We were charged with building their new home as close to their old home as possible, with the exception of the roof system.

This home is a full chink log home style with solid wooden spacer blocks between each course of log. Most log home companies use blocks only and insulation in areas with no blocking, but we feel the home is more soundly constructed using our method of full spacers throughout the home.

The home was built with an open area on the main level, a full loft looking to below which was used as a home office, and the true masonry fireplace is the focal point of the great room. This home is really what we have come to know as our own American Style of log home with true chinking, solid spacer logs and the true dove tail interlocking corner system. What a great home!
