Log Home Design is a little different from conventional home design. The build process is a little more complicated and a little less known by most builders. Log Home Builders are much harder to find, but we do our best to put you in touch with the best available builders in your area. The Locke Carriage Home

Custom Frame and Timber Structure

Location: Friendsville, TN

This carriage home is the first of three stages of construction, with a boat dock and main home to be completed in the near future. The carriage home will be used for storage, a work area for woodworking and mechanic work, and a temporary housing location as the main home is being built.

The structure features a full living area with a large woodworking area on the main level. The main level will be built using Span deck technology for free-standing room with no post locations in either the main level or the lower level.

The Jordan Home

Location: Townsend, TN

The Jordan home is in the initial design phase. The design features three full bedrooms on two levels, with one Master Suite, and a large Great Room and Kitchen which encompasses most of the home from front to back.

The attached two-car garage is connected to a breezeway and the home.

The Welch Home

Custom Log Home Model

Location: Walland, TN

The Welch home is being constructed in Walland Tn. The design features two full bedrooms on the main level, with one Master Suite, and a large Great Room and Kitchen which encompasses the entire depth of the home from front to back.

The attached two car garage was originally configured as a carport, but the switch was made before the planning process was finalized. This home could easily be made into a three bed home by changing the office area into a full bedroom.

The Sledge Home

Custom Log Home Model

Location: Maryville, TN

The Sledge home is a simple floor plan with all the essentials. The main level has a nicely sized living area with tons of light and windows to take in the awesome view of the location.

The lower level has a full garage with outdoor living area below the main Great Room above.

The York Home

The York home is a secondary home for a very nice couple from Kentucky. The Yorks plan on building a 600 sq. ft. structure with a full length porch along the front of the home. More to come on this one soon!

The Hill Home

Creekside Model Home in Sevierville, TN

The Hill home is being constructed in Sevierville, TN. They are building a custom Creekside model on 5 acres, at the foot of English Mountain, near the Forbidden Caverns.

They began their project by putting in a large pond on the property, and are about to wrap up the construction process. Their Creekside model was chosen to be an 8×8 D log style with Saddle notch corner joinery. They elected for a true heavy timber roof and second-floor system.

Non-standard areas of the build:

A full working three-story elevator.
A full secondary Master Suite in the basement, as well as the main Master Suite on the primary level.
The home is being set up for two separately controlled climate areas with three HVAC units.
Full access, remotely controlled security appliances and mechanical systems using a Z-wave system, which will be tapped into fire, security, and access systems of the home.

The Lockhart Home

Location: Sevierville, TN

The Lockhart home is a rebuild after a total loss due to a fire in September of 2013. His design features three full bedrooms on the main level, with one Master Suite, and a large Great Room which encompasses the entire depth of the home from front to back.

The lower level has a large area for entertaining, complete with billiards, darts, a secondary sleeping area, additional bath areas, and mechanicals and storage.

The Day Home

Location: Sevierville, Tn

The Day home features two stories with the Master Suite on the main level. The loft area overlooks the Great Room and Kitchen areas below.

This home design also includes an attached garage with false dormer.

The Kirkley Home

The Kirkley Home has three bedrooms on two levels. This home has the Master Suite on the main level, large dining area, functional office set back out of the main traffic area of the home, and tons of closet space. The family room has a large, open cathedral area with lots of fixed glass to take in the view.
