Log Homes from 1,250 to 1,500 Sq Ft seem to be the sweet spot for some of our coziest log and timber homes in our stock plan section. Homes of this size are typically used for getaways, retirement, first homes, homes getting off of the grid, or even hunting cabins. We have built many for each of these situations. If you see something you like, but not exactly what you are looking for, our design team can come up with a custom creation just for you.
My wife and I have a manufactured home in Eastern Tennessee. We plan to replace current home with a 3ba 2 br home ,1700-1800 sq ft with metal roof and fireplace. Doing research for now, won’t retire for another 4-5 years. What is approximate and TRUE estimate to build this on our 11 acre lot? Thanks
It would depend on several factors. Once we have had a chance to walk the lot and determine what will work for the property, where you would like to put the home, what style of building, foundation type, type of metal roofing, etc. With your timeline, hopefully materials will come back down once manufacturing comes back. Our last turn-key build ended up running about $260 per heated foot of space, but that is with prices being high and a design that was more than a normal model and a pretty expensive foundation due to the lay of the land. Best thing to do is get in touch with us when you are a little closer to build time, or shoot over a design idea and we can get you a cost of what it would be today.
Thanks and I hope that helps.
