For Twenty Years, the Bradshaws spent their summers carefree in the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee, fishing, hiking and exploring the local sites. So, when grandchildren started filling out Jack and Wendy’s family tree a few years ago, they decided it was time to lay down more permanent roots.
They bought a rental cabin in 2009, but it wasn’t long before they outgrew the small space. “With five grandchildren, it’s a lot of people, a lot of noise and a lot of fun,” Wendy says. “We needed a bigger place where we could all be together and still be comfortable.”
