Chris Sparks was born and raised in East Tennessee, and is proud to call it home. Chris has over 25 years of experience in log home design and construction. He also has a passion for computers. Chris’s passion and experience came together when he began designing custom homes.
While Chris and his team utilize state-of-the-art technology to create their unique designs, their approach to business is rooted in the ideals of long ago: honesty really is the best policy. This was the guiding principle upon which Chris founded Custom Timber Log Homes. And, it isn’t going to change.
Chris holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He lives in Maryville with his two children, Connor and Erin.

Mary Ann SparksMeet the Team! | Accounting and Office Diva
Mary Ann was born in Alabama, but we try not to hold that against her. She has lived in Tennessee long enough that now her blood runs orange–Go Vols!
Mary Ann is unseen by the public most of the time, but she is instrumental in helping keep things running in day-to-day operations. We certainly couldn’t do it without her. You will hear her friendly voice most of the time when calling into the office, as well.
In Memoriam June 12th, 2022
Bo Sparks was a native of East Tennessee. He knew the mountains like the back of his hand. Being involved in the construction industry for over 40 years, he built built more than his share of log homes.
Bo founded Custom Timber Log Homes because he saw the need for a return to doing business the old-fashioned way: where honesty was essential and your handshake was your word. His solid reputation, both for his skill and his integrity, spoke for itself. We hope to uphold his very high standards of building and reputation moving forward.
Bo lived in Maryville, TN, with his wife, Mary Ann. He has two sons and four grandchildren.
Sadly, he passed away on June 12th, 2022. He will be missed.
